The Radio Operators of South Texas (R.O.O.S.T.), located in southeast San Antonio, Texas, is a club which is dedicated to the principles and practice of amateur radio. Membership is open to all licensed amateurs. The club maintains two 2 meter repeaters: 147.340+ (pl 123) and 146.860- (pl 123). ARRL VE Testing is provided the first and third Saturday of each month at the Bexar County Sheriff's Mounted Posse building. Walk-ins are welcome. The club meets at 7pm on the first Friday of every month at the R.O.O.S.T clubhouse, directly behind the Sheriff's Mounted Posse building. The R.O.O.S.T information net meets every Thursday at 8pm on the 147.340 repeater. A 6 meter net meets every Monday evening at 8pm on 52.525 mhz (simplex). The Radio Operators of South Texas badge is made using our full color process. The ROOST logo appears in the top-center of the badge placed over your CALL SIGN (blue letters), NAME (red letters) and R.O.O.S.T. in black letters.
