The Cherokee Amateur Radio Society (CARS) is located in Cherokee County, Georgia. CARS was formed to provide community service through Amateur Radio while recruiting new Hams to enjoy the fun and fellowship of the hobby.

CARS members proudly participate in teaching "One Day Technician Classes" and assisting the Boy Scouts of America with radio merit badge requirements. Annual activities include a club sponsored Field Day (simulated emergency exercise), Jamboree On The Air (JOTA - Boy Scouts) and providing volunteer communication services for local events and parades.
