The Boston Amateur Radio Club (BARC) serves amateur radio operators in the greater Boston, Massachusetts, area as an ARRL Special Service Club. BARC has an active public service program, maintains VHF and UHF repeaters, has monthly meetings with presentations of interest to hams, and operates using the club call sign W1BOS on Field Day and SKYWARN Recognition Day in December. VE examination sessions are also held several times a year. A weekly net is held Monday evenings at 9:00 p.m. local time on the 145.230 Boston repeater (PL 88.5).
